uluTrade was founded in 2006 by Leon Yohai, and created in response to the non-existence of a web-based platform that could audit traders globally and at the same time; enable traders to share their knowledge with people interested in their strategies.

The ZuluTrade Platform bridged the gap between valuable information in money markets and trade execution by converting the advice of some of the most professional and talented traders globally, to a service which can rapidly execute trades. An additional advantage of the Platform is that it provides the ability and ease of driving selected trades to broker accounts of the interested parties. The concept of ZuluTrade is to offer an open environment, where traders on a global-level can connect any trading platform and share their knowledge.

The ZuluTrade platform was created due to the non existence of a web platform that could audit traders globally and in the same time, to share their knowledge with people interested in their strategies, enabling them to drive their trades to the broker accounts of the interested parties.

There were a number of challenges. The existing autotrading technology did not allow trading multiple accounts simultaneously, since scaling problems could occur on the broker's side. We sat down with the brokers and redesigned the APIs (in some cases ZuluTrade developed APIs of its own) in order to accommodate all demands in large scale. We developed from scratch the API for the MT4 platform since Metaquotes did not provide API. In addition brokers offered non-functional APIs, which had to be redeveloped in order to effectively accommodate multiple accounts all at once.

The concept of ZuluTrade is to offer an open environment, where traders can globally connect to any trading platform and share their knowledge, in addition to receiving rebate every time someone uses their expertise to a live trade

ZuluRank is a proprietary algorithm that ranks a trader, by analyzing different factors, such as the amount of trading activity, the drawdown of each trade and the entire PnL, how often the trader logs in, the age of the signal provider, the amount of time a trade stays open, the sharp ratio, and many other factors.

  Leon Yohai was born in Athens, Greece in 1974, and began his entrepreneurial career when he founded fleamarket.gr, Greece's first and largest e-auction website in 1999. In 2001 he founded InternetQ SA, the company that introduced premium text messaging billing in Greece, with more than 1.7 mil. subscribers. He acquired 40% of the Greek mobile market and $23 mil in annual revenues. Leveraging his knowledge of the wireless digital media industry, Leon came to the United States to launch Qmobile, a mobile entertainment startup that quickly gained 25% of market share in the first 3 months of its operation in the US. QMobile has hundreds of thousands subscribers, and over $20 mil. revenues for 2006. Leon has been trading futures for his own account, in equities and money markets since 2000, and recognized a need for a service for individual traders, who have busy schedules and cannot follow the rapidly changing markets, yet need total control of their funds. As a result, in 2006, Zulutrade was born. Leon is also a big supporter and an early investor on the AirBike project. • Roula Pelehrinis, Global Sales Operations and Business Development

  

  Roula Pelehrinis leads the Business Development-Institutional Sales Department at ZuluTrade. With more than 10 years experience in the futures and Forex Industry, Roula is responsible for the expansion of the business via integrated partnerships, including exclusive relationships with System Vendors and Futures Commission Merchants. Roula has a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is also a Series 3 Futures Broker, License Series 6 Investment Companies and 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law. Roula is also a member of the National Futures Association and a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

  George joined ZuluTrade back in early 2008 intrigued by the prospects and challenging nature of the newly born ZuluTrade project. As software engineer and system architect, he has been involved in the design and development of most ZuluTrade core components and processes, while also assembled a team of cherry-picked developers to help him pull it through. He currently leads the back end department, but still, when he's not behind monitors, he can usually be found behind.. dj decks, keeping up with his other passion, music.

  
  

• Spyros Voultepsis, IT Systems and Network Director

  

  Spyros Vooltepsis specializes in IT Systems and Networks with more than 10 years experience in designing and delivering technical projects in IT (IBM, Oracle/SUN) and Telco (Hutchison 3G UK) sectors. With a strong background knowledge in Unix, Networks, Database Clustering and High Availability Systems he joined ZuluTrade in 2009 as an IT Consultant and currently leads the IT Systems Administration Department. Spyros` team is responsible for the company`s Datacenter, Systems, Network and Databases administration and operations. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from University of Essex and a Hons BSc in Information Technology from Technological Educational Institute of Athens. He is also a Certified Engineer from RedHat, Oracle/SUN and IBM Systems.

  
  

• Yorgos Eliopoulos, Web Director

  

  Yorgos directs this website together with a team of veteran developers. He received his BSc. in Computer Science from University of Bradford back in 1995 and began working as a freelance web engineer at Young & Rubicam, Amsterdam. After returning to Greece, he designed and deployed banking applications before joining the Omega Bank start up project. He also found time to return to school and get a 1st class MSc. degree in Data Communication Systems from Brunel University in 2008. Possessing moderate trading experience in FOREX, Yorgos became excited by the ZuluTrade concept, joined the company in 2009 and still looks forward to the next website release.

He has also founded an innovative Language Services company, Redwood Translations. Kathleen holds a B.A. in Archaeology and worked for several years at the Stoa of Attalos Museum, Athens and the Gardner Museum, USA.
